It has been a long time since i blog, a fairly long time since Eyeshield 21 ended. Turns out, ES21 was abruptly canceled, due to declining popularity. In any case, I was still faily satisfied with ES21's ending.

Weeks without any news, or any work by ES21's author and illustrator slowly and gradually turn into months...

well, short post for the day~...XD

once upon a time, i was browsing some random blogs with my korean friend and i was super shocked when i saw this ....

1stly, i don't think any Malaysian will try to buy this . Malaysian motto is always 'cheap'. Any fruits that is sold more than rm50 , i don't think anyone will want to try , even out of curiousity.

2ndly, it cost only 3000 won for bout....let see....for 5? if you're lucky, you might get 8.
roughly convert to rm also rm 9 ? and they sell it rm 150~~~~while honeydew taste way better than it~

FYI, it just taste exactly like honeydew, infact it taste less delicious.

well, since i don't really know what to blog about my life here, let play jalan-jalan cari makan once in a while . What do you think? ^^ ( i dont want to hear a -ve view as an answer , thank you) . I'll intro to you guys what's nice to eat around here ( or what you die also don't ever try to eat..hahha....but this do exist........eg dog's meat)

so, the 1st dish that i wanted to intro is.............보쌈( bo -ssam) .

its located somewhere nearby my university.
the interior of this place is quite pretty isn't it?...^^. Without my 2nd ikemi, i actually wont every come to this kind of place , afraid it will cost me a fortune

this is the main dish!!..bo-ssam..... well..its actually , kimchi ( this plate have white kimchi, they have red kimchi too) . the pork will be eaten with the kimchi ( dibalut)

this is call 반잔( ban-chan) ....aka side dishes. In korea, u go each and every restauran ( including pasta, pizza and chicken restorants), they will have these side dishes. The type that they guarantee have -->kimchi. = =. Others , depending on the restaurant itself what they want to serve. well, this side dishes, we can actually refill it numerous times for free. Its and advantage for those who is very poor and have big appetite ( in 1 condition, they must like vegetable very much) .

honestly, i dislike eating kimchi. But since my Korean friend with her sincere intention to bring me to try nice dishes around korea, i cant say no rite. But it turn out pretty nice . Since it is eaten wrapped with the pork meat, the combination blend in pretty well ( as the kimchi taste is not so strong anymore). In the end, i end up liking it pretty much ( but i still dislike single ban-chan kimchi...kimchi with other thing its fine)
Anyway, saw the red-ish red bean like rice?. apparently, korean treat those rice as healthy rice. When i eat in my cafeteria, they like to combine their rice with barley, red bean n etc. Very healthy huh. Luckily, it doesn't taste bad . ^^ . It actually give u the feeling that 'oh, im eating healthily now')

It's been a long time since i've updated , sorry ~
I've been pretty busy lately. You all must be wondering what will i be busy about, since my korean class is just 4 hours, and my japanese class is 1 hour. Last time, i though i would have a hell lot of time for myself, but it turn out the opposite. Instead, i felt like i'm having more time in SABS though schooling time is double. Maybe that's how a life away from family felt like .

Well, recently, i came back from UNESCO camp. Its a joint cultural awareness camp where bout 13 foreigners are invited to mixed with some local kids from middle and high school.
Overall its fun but very tiring ^^. But it gave me a chance, to view another part of korea, where i can know how the life as a school student there, how they act, how they interact.

And i would say their eagerness to participate and being all sporting about it amused me. Unlike in malaysia, do you remember those times we need to dig out volenteers to perform, or to do something interesting on stage? Either we use positition or respoinsibility as a threat, or else, nobody will perform anything. Well, there's a part in the camp where we need to teach our group member how to sing foreign song. Since my group, i have another partner from India, we choose to sing indian song ( cz malay song is being handled by my another friend from another group) . Instead teaching them, they themselves being very proactive, memorized the lyrics themselves, and even create dance steps for that. ( even my indian friend dont even know how to dance indian dance)

But there's something very strange. Their camp fire. Well, they do name it as camp fire, they have fire but strangely we dont circle the bon fire. instead, their camp fire end up like a performance nite. there's a stage, and all school represantative performed and they held some mini contest from time to time . Well, korean arent be famous for being entertainer for nothing rite? even those kids in middle school are dancing the same beat to those appeared on tv. Well and their teacher are very supportive at it ( in malaysia, i think the teacher will blow their heads out and banned us from doing anything so outragous )

Well , there's a difference in culture i think , they even have this game where guy must held a girl as long as possible, while doing various task ( like jumping on 1 leg) . Hahaha too bad my group cant last to the end..><~
Well, since its summer, there's always something related to water ^^ Pool time. Well, it started with some competition where 3 guys below need to carry 1 person up there. And the person being carried need to snatch a cap from another group. Its a very violent game to watch , fun nevertheless .
On 1 nite, they we having this folk dance. Hahaha, Everyone gather in a circle. Then while dancing, they will change partner. Hahaha its fun, i like how they chorograph the dance until everyone can change and change partner . But then, its too long ><~ Doing that for bout 1-2 hours, i'm already starting to to soak in sweat.

There's also cultural educaion going on .From there, they told us things about bowing, how to put own hand on what occasion etc. The most troublesome thing is, their degree of bowing. they have ranges from 90 degree , 45 ,30,15 ,10, 5 degree bow. T.T They also have a short marriage ceremony act. Well,hanbok wored by foreigners, the bride ended up looking very pretty ( she's from mongolia) . and the bridgeroom from china XD. and his girlfriend is somewhere among those spectators. XD
There's also another event where we brought our traditional clothes and let those kids wear. haha, then they need to performe some short act in that, followed by proprosal . Very entertaining. And my group won ^^. Girl wearing kebaya shirt, and the guy ( imposed by a girl) wearing a dhoti. XD

Ohya, own country introduction . haha, we and maza( my roommate) was trying our best to intro our country in Korean.
Though this camp is only 3 days 2 nites, we really got along well with them , my groupmates exspecially. Thinking to resume my daily routine life makes me dont feel like going home either. Thats all for now ^^

Farewell Eyeshield 21!!

These few days, I felt like I've kicked around here and there, yup, just like a goddamn ball. Sigh? I don't even know what emotion should I be displaying now. Is it one of regret? thankful? grateful? shy (impossible xD)? or others? Hm...

Sorry for digressing away from topic. In actual fact, this post is all about Eyeshield 21(manga). Any decent fan would have known by now, Eyeshield 21 has just recently concluded its ard...6-7 years of running.

And what a good 6-7 years it has been! I've turned from someone who is ignorant of the difference between American football and rugby, to someone who at least know some of their difference. =)

Of course, the manga only shows only a few difference between those two, but for those who are curious, u can just query wikipedia and google.

Onto the main point. Eyeshield 21 has been exceptionallly good for the past few months, so good that every single week, I would be craving for more ES rather than the too-long-for-its-own-good Naruto and turning-rather-boring Bleach. Not only does Eyeshield 21 has pace and action, it has has a huge dose of comedy and laughter, a perfect blend in my opinion.

It even has great artwork thanks to the hardwork of Yusuke Murata-sensei and his team of staffs. All the characters in the manga are drawn in such a way that they can easily be identified and differentiated from one another. Though I do admit, the artwork may be pleasing to the eyes(at least for me), but early on in the series, the artwork is of inferior quality compared to the latter part of the manga. It's still quite good, but the artwork really picks of starting from around...volume 3?

The storyline is quite typical, akin to that of a sports shonen manga - Weak boy who is always bullied enters a club, gets stronger and stronger while meeting new friends and foes. Yes, it is that predictable, but that is only for the overall plot. The story itself is full of surprises and laugh-out-loud moments! With a cast of small-sized boy with speed beyond his peers, demonic yet intelligent strategist, kind-hearted "fatty", cute girl who desires to "protect" the main hero, and a monkey, the story is engaging and appealing. Kudos to Riichiro Inagaki-sensei for creating such a nice cast and plot.

My favourite character in the story is the tricky, devilish Yoichi Hiruma. He beats the main character, Kobayakawa Sena hand down simply because he's such a bad-ass devil - though he is actually quite caring inside.

Seriously, this guy is l33t! Although he has no special ability, and his athletism is average for his age, he makes up for it through his hard work(not shown in manga) and cunning ability to predict opponent's strategy(shown a few times in the manga) and to trick his way to victory(shown countless of times, throughout the game).

I would like to say more, but the best things should be enjoyed yourselves. I won't be so insensitive as to spoil your Eyeshield 21 experience. =x

All in all, Eyeshield 21 has been a huge part of my life for the paw few years, and it was kinda sad to see it finally end. But hey, at least they end it at a high point, making this manga absolutely phenomenal, rather than follow Naruto's and Bleach's doomed path which is to drag and drag the manga till it is no longer as interesting as it used to be.

Thanks ES21, it has been a wonderful journey with you. Lastly, I wish Yusuke Murata-sensei and Riichiro Inagaki-sensei the best, and hopefully they collaborate on other manga in the near future!

Have anyone wonder why the weather is getting more and more unpredictable each year? Or why the natural phenomena occur more often in a terrifying manner? How about the increasing number of death due to the disease outbreak? Or the death-toll of patient dying from cancer. Who was to be blame for these? Some just accept it as fate, or worse, blame it on god for the ill-fortune. Each of them passes their day in ignorance thinking that everything will be okay and all these are just ‘obstacles’ in life. Ignorance might be a bliss, but being in denial will not save the earth , only making it worse.

Since human entered the industrial age, the earth’s eco-system is getting worse as time advanced. Scientist found a hole the size of Africa in the ozone layer in Australia which exposed the citizen to harmful UV-rays which can cause skin cancer. The ice in the Arctic begins to melt in a staggering rate as some geologist predicted that for years to come, human might end up living on hills or mountains as most of the land will be flooded by water. Some scientist even thinking of finding an alternative to support life form in another planets as Mars as it is the most similar to earth in our solar system. While some architects have it all planned out by creating an escape route by creating Dubai Lilypad- the floating city.

Human only occupy 5% on the earth, but the amount of resources used to provide human comfort had already reached 30% of the earth! Imagine with human multiplying exponentially, what will be left for our generations in future? Do we really want them to live among trashes that were produced by their selfish ancestors who only care for themselves? Furthermore, in the US, 40 % of their water resources is not suitable for drinking. At this moment, water are being recycled using distillation process. Green development will not work if there’s only a few organizations who slave their lives to save the earth. This requires consciousness from every single human on this face of earth. Everyone can take part in this role-play. For those who can’t contribute material-wise or financially, they can play their part by contributing strength and consciousness. Simple actions like recycling can make differences. Survey proved that 99% of the things we bought will not last for 6 months, and if EVERYONE try to pro-long the life of their possession, imagine how much difference we can bring.

Well, I plan to major in architecture next year after finishing my 1 year Korean language course. Some might be wondering, why I want to take up this course as building more structures will just destroy mother nature. Don’t get me wrong here, as I intend to learn how to build with the green and not forgetting, to spread the idea of building green. Stopping development will be a pretty impossible thing, so instead of putting a stop to the whole developing idea, why not learn how to develop in a more environment-friendly way and build a more idealistic world in future. My Ikemi ^^

이끄미 (ikemi) : A Korean buddy that suppose to aid you in your external Korean studies .

Time is gold. Its already almost coming to an end to this spring semester . Time fly without me realizing it. Actually , nothing much will change, class would be like normal, life will roll on like scheduled on our routine board. Only 2 significant thing will be missing, which is the cool-chilling weather on spring-day will be replaced by humid hot summer , and my beloved ikemi will end her service soon.

Just like her appearance, my ikemi, 은영( eun yong) is a friendly person and every action of hers reflects her cuteness embedded in her. Being under her, I've learned a lot thing things outside the classroom, such as using the postal services so i can post stuff back to Malaysia , furthermore improve my fluency and accuracy in speaking in Korean language. I was being treated like a little sister .Now, i decided to blog a little bit about her in order to show my gratitude . I hope we can remain this invisible ties even after our ikemi session ends.

Anyway , last week there's an event which called 5.18 which are held to remember a massacre that took place in that exact place. ( It's her mission to bring me to historical places in 광주( gwangju). Brief history bout the event on 5.18 happened bout 30 years ago .

Background

President Park Chung-hee, after ruling for 18 years, was assassinated on October 26, 1979. This abrupt ending of an authoritarian regime left Korean politics in a state of instability. New President Choi Kyu-hah and his Cabinet had little control over the growing power of ROK Army General Chun Doo-hwan, who took control of the government through the Coup d'état of December Twelfth.

The nation's democratization movements, which had been suppressed during Park's tenure, were again awakening. With the beginning of a new semester in March 1980, professors and students expelled for pro-democracy activities returned to their universities, and student unions were formed. These unions led nationwide demonstrations for an array of reforms, including an end to martial law (declared after Park's assassination), democratization, minimum wage demands, and freedom of press.^[2] These activities culminated in the anti-martial law demonstration at Seoul Station on May 15, 1980 in which about 100,000 students and citizens participated.

Such has nourished a culture of opposition attested, for example, in the Donghak Peasant Revolution, the Gwangju Students Movement, the Yeosu-Suncheon Rebellion, or the region's resistance to the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592–1598). More recently, under the Third Republic of South Korea and Fourth Republic of South Korea,
Park Chung Hee's dictatorship had showered economic and political favours on his native Gyeongsang region in the southeast, at the expense of the Jeolla^[4] region of the southwest. The latter became the real hotbed of political opposition to the dictatorship, which in turn led to more discrimination from the centre. Finally, in May 1980 the city of Kwangju in South Jeolla province exploded in a popular uprising against the new military strongman, General Chun Doo Hwan, who responded with a bloodbath that killed hundreds of Kwangju's citizens.

My 'mid-year' for level 1 had just past few days ago ~.... and i'm aready yearning to go somewhere to indulge myself with some fun . Too bad, money is the restriction.
This reminded me where i've been to everland last 3 weeks ago , the biggest theme park in korea. Too bad it's raining on that they and most of the thrilling rides are closed . ><~ ANYWAY ........ Let's move on to the main topic --> Rides in your life time.

In everland, korea , T-xpress :
It is currently the world's steepest wooden coaster. It is also the world's ninth fastest, third tallest, and sixth longest wooden coaster. ( wanted to ride it.. but the person says the queue is about 2 hours...><~....insufficient of time)

Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio:
Just by looking at the pictures itself , chills are running down to my spine . Me myself aren't really sure if i even have the nerve to ride it. Maybe i will chicken out last minute. XD . But does hours of queue waiting worthwhile for a 30 seconds ride? Well, that depends how fanatic you are towards this kind of games..^^

4th dimension roller coasters :Eejanaika in Japan,West Edmonton Mall in Canada.
This roller coaster not only whirls through the loops, but each cart additionally rotates 360 degrees, guaranteed to scramble even veteran coaster riders

Mystery Roller Coaster : Yokohama , Japan.
This is my favourite one. By looking at the picture itself, i felt like packing my backpack and fly to japan to ride this thing!! Sigh, unfortunately, back to reality , money DOES plays an important factor...><~

Last but not least, upcoming theme park in future : Dubailand( twice the size of Walt Disney World in Florida)

une ville rêveuse - a dream city~

Almost the whole world, including economic giants USA, Japan and China, is shivering over skyrocketing oil prices, one country on Earth seems largely unaffected. It United Arab Emirates, where the palm island is located.

i bet most of you guys out there have heard bout palm island before.
Incase there's somebody that doesn't acknowledge it's existence, I'll summarize some info bout it here.

Somewhere in Dubai, they made a man made island. I wouldn't dare to say it's the first, but i dare say it's the largest, ( it made it's way to be seen in the satellite view). It cost millions to build such a wonder on earth. Unfortunately , to enjoy such facilities, it might cost you your life saving, or even more. I found myself wondering can i even afford the air tic to fly there..XD

One of its current project is building the tallest building on earth( a tittle once malaysian were proud of) . By the time you're reading now, they are actually building dozens of buildings that will stand up high, exceeding KLCC's height by big numbers , way far more outstanding.

1. Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building is due for completion end of this year. Currently it has 162 completed floors.
2. The Pentominium - 120 floors - Location: Dubai Marina - Completion: 2011
3. Burj Al Alam - 108 floors - Location: Business Bay - Completion: 2010

well, i would not list all out, but i will pick a few that had amazed me to share about~

one of my favorite, the rotating building . The best part i like about it is ,it's environment friendly. Between each floor, there's a turbine, that will charged into electricity when wind blow towards it. ( like those wind-mill) . The energy generated will be used to rotate the whole building . Since it's called the rotating building, you will wake up every morning and enjoy the different view every single day .Each floor rotates at different paces and the building wouldn't have a definite shape~..^^...and those engineers even had calculated the rotation speed , so that you do not even notice it's rotating ( to avoid dizziness)

well, another structure that they plan to built, is this ' lilypad floating city' . Though it's a mere plan, the idea itself make alot of impact on other's, i believe that this even had attract investors to invest on this fairly tale land. i dare say this project isn't going to start anytime so soon. But it might just be the key , in far future , on how to create a city for citizens from all around the globe, if the global warming decided to show no mercy on mankind .

I don't know how much people out there would actually like these kind of stuff, but for me, this keep me inspired to reach my out to my dream of being a great architect . I hope that each of you guys, found things that inspired you to achieve something in life. If you haven't, i hope this post will be a kick start to push you forward.

Pandora's Heart(Preview)

Got hooked on the manga last year, never looked back. Too bad the scanlations was few and far between. Nevertheless, there's been an anime version out recently. Animation quality wasn't really as top-notch as I've expected, but maybe I expect too much. Look forward to a review soon? =D

Hello again~

Without much realisation, its already been a week since I’ve arrived in korea. Hahahaha . Still don’t really feel home sick yet, maybe because I’m still on the holiday mood. School havent start , and I’ve filled all my days with exploring the town and playing around . 1 thing for sure something korea cannot win against malaysia.. its da FOOD....gosh..how i miss those food back home. The food here, taste almost the same and very stale. GOsh........where's my tom yum ><~

Well, one of our senior say wanna bring us to watch sakura flower on Saturday , but this plan was cancelled due to some schedule problem. So, instead doing nothing on the weekend, I’ve plan to go to the uchi theme park in gwangju. All the trouble of research have become very worth it as this place really have very scenic view. The theme park is very small and mild , even genting highland is much more better and exciting but the scenery is really worth while .( la……this is just gwangju, havent go to ‘lotte world’ or ‘everland’ in seoul…)

It’s already about 4 days since I’ve reached Korea. It’s pretty easy to get internet connection, but due to some error, my room IP address isn’t listed in the guide book, so, it took us a while to get in touch back to the internet world. And the connection here is super fast ^^. But then, everything on the net is almost all Korean, even blog itself, yahoo, google. Its getting on my nerves!!

1^st of all, I want to thank all my friends back in Malaysia for making a memorable farewell moment for me. I’m very thankful till no words can describe it. I just can say that I’m lucky. Not just for getting the scholarship, but to meet a bunch of friends like you guys. ><~ . I’m missing all of you all already..><~

It took approximately about 6 hours from Malaysia to fly to Korea. Since my university ( chon nam university) is located in Kwangju ( a province below Seoul) , it took me another 4-5 hours bus ride from Inchon airport to chon nam. Gah, 10 hours journey, very very tiring. The season here is just early spring, and once we come out from the airport, we are freezing like crazy. I’ve always thought that its gonna be summer soon, so I wasn’t prepared . It was below 10 degree at that moment. If this kind of weather already almost freeze us scholar to death, imagine what will happen in winter. = =

There’s a Bangladesh guy who volunteer to pick us up from the Kwangju bus station and guide us back to our university. Then , we meet the university international student admistrator and she brought us around and complete our registration ,eg make bank book, do medical checkup ( gosh, they even do blood testingà I hate needle……and even half body x-ray) .

Although Kwangju isn’t the big city, it’s isn’t ‘ulu’ either. There is no farm or anything, just slightly less busy compare to Seoul. They even say Kwangju have the best food in whole Korea. ^^. And the living expenses here are really low. ( like, those starbucks kind of coffee is like 2500 won, approx 6-7 ringgit).So I can save more money to travel around, even can save some money back to Malaysia next year.

My dorm room is pretty clean and neat. Not very big, but the space is sufficient for me and my roommate to move around. Thank god the room have the temperature control, so we always set the temperature to 28 degree Celsius, make it warm and comfy.

We have the ironing area on each floor, and laundry room on the lowest floor ( but need to pay bout 100-500 won). Chon nam uni is very big, until today , I haven’t tour finish my whole uni.

The hostel and cafeteria is also very high-tech, we need to enter our ID then our finger print to enter them. . And , hahaha, its so cold outside that we leave our drinks we bought outside the balcony ^^

Since orientation is on Thursday, while our class will start on ‘only- god-knows-when’, we are pretty bored and free to linger around. We tried to explore the shops behind our uni, and found some pretty interesting shops. Its like the back lane , having many many ‘cabang’ of roads, then , those uphills and downhills just like korean drama, mix of shops, residential area , church, etc in the same row. So the view is pretty contrast .

1st of all , i would like to congratulate our friend , Hannah Hiew for achieving such a excellent result for STPM ( 4.0 ). She really deserve it~ ^^ ( If she doesnt get that, there's something VERY wrong with the examiner) . If i'm not mistaken, there's only 13 student in Malaysia who achieved 4.0 . ( Correct me if i'm wrong) .As a Sixth Former, i sincerely salute those people. ( exspecially on how they handle Math T paper --->bloody hard) . Here too, i would like to congratulate Wai Hong ( a partner blogger that hardly blog..XD) as he score 3.75 in STPM . A pointer that make every Sixth former go envy for ( inlcluding me..XD) .

Not forgetting our Art-stream friend who achieve pretty good results . Congratulation to sue ann, Joash, Kin leong, and Pao suen !!! All of them got pointer higher than 3.5 ~~ Hard work really seems to put off for them. ~( tak belanja pun when go makan nasi beriani..><~)

As for those who get lower than 3.5, its not the end of the world yet ( i've been telling myself this every second). When a door of opportunity close, another door will open. Juz try apply for every single thing that is possible, well at least you tried rite? This is just an introduction of our lives. After this, that's when the true beginning of our lives start to take action .

For those out there who's still devastated or confused, quickly take action and start applying now!!! bygones is bygones and there's no use wondering & regret bout the past. Time doesnt wait for anyone. Don't hesitate , just apply, apply and apply. Who knows, i might call anyone of you a Dr. ****** someday ( Dr in Doctorate)

Gosh, its around 5am. Me eyes are still as wide as an owl. In any case, read the poem below.

Seems familiar? Nostalgic, innit? This piece of literature, written by Robert Frost, was my 2nd favourite when I studied English literature in Form 5. Numero uno was Shakespeare's sonnet. Shakespeare's sonnets and his anthologies of poems were pieces of beautifully rendered and composed literature art. Almost legendary. So deep and intricate, and cleverly depicts the story that Shakespeare was trying to tell. Well, I'm no Shakespearean, but that's how Shakespeare's poems appeal to me.

Sorry I digress. What I want to talk about today is Robert Frost's "The Road Less Taken". To me, this is a quite clear-cut literature, but the poet himself admitted that this is a tricky poem, at least, this is what wikipedia told me. But nevertheless, allow my to present my humble, but idiotic interpretation of this poem.

For me, this poem signifies the nostalgic of the persona, when he looks back to the path he took just as he started out his journey into adulthood. Looking at the path with him, he carefully examines and reconnoiter the available paths to him. Exactly what most ppl around my age shouldn't be doing. Most should have carefully thought up their plans for the future, and should be wheeling and dealing to achieve their dream.

And through the wiki, I found out there's the ironical interpretation of the poem. The irony is, the ironical (pardon the pun,its unintended) interpretation could just be what I'm feeling now.

renew driving license ~~

Sigh~..had you guys renew your driving license aready?
Well, since now im soooo frekin bored , my random thoughts reminded me bout the incident occurred last month when i went to JPJ change my P to D license.

First of all, i must admit that the way JPJ handling their work is now far more efficient compared to years ago as there were no more slow piggies taking their sweet time to process our documents . Just need to wait for a few minutes for your turn, go to the counter and tell them what you want ....then within few minutes, tadahh~~...mission accomplished ~ ...very worth praising for.

But well, nothing's perfect i guess. The moment i started to praise 'em, then they start to show the ugly side of their system.
My license expired on 14th of Feb, so , as i'm trying to be a 'good' driver who try to follows the law, i went to JPJ to renew it on friday the 13th ( friday is a very very busy day....longer queue than normal days) . DANG. there's goes the lady at the counter says that i cant renew more than 1 year if i renew it B4 my license expire. She told me that, if i were to come back on Monday, i can straight away renew it for many many years to come .

Since im not a very fond of the idea visiting JPJ every year, i've decided to renew it on monday so i can get 3 years straight. Although its not a big deal, but i seriously do not what kind of system that they are implying on motorist. Are they encouraging more and more people to drive on the road with expired license? I don't understand government nowdays .

So tips for those who have not renew their license --> renew it AFTER your license is expired...the longer the better coz they will start to add the years from the date you renew your license ( not from the day your license expire)

They say bad things come in abundance. But not today. The ending of the shortest month in the year has been nothing but awesome for me. Good things has been coming in barrage lately. For example, a second season of Suzumiya Haruhi has been announced(No links to the anime's information, nor am I so energetic to provide a summary of it. Google it. =) I know not if it's just a remake of the first season, or is it really the highly anticipated "Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi". Now, I do not care if it's a remake or whatever, but I'll welcome the news with open arms. At long last Haruhi and Kyon will grace my LCD monitor yet again. Tell the truth, I've watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya or Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu in Japanese a handful or times - no less than five. Well, its nothing in comparison to School Rumble which I have stopped counting after the number 10.

That was announced a while back. So the second season is one of the good news. That was just a prelude. The real joy was these gems.

after getting bored, sitting there, chatting aimlessly , most of them get down to the lower floor and dance with the crowd. It was so hot and crowded there, but i guess there is the most entertaining part ~

so for those who haven't step into 'after 7' ,.. if u looking for a place to chill n relax, choose the upper floor~ but if you want to dance n have fun n sweat like a cow, lower floor is definitely your choice

fortunately/unfortunately ( depends on individual POV) , none of us throw up or start doing hilarious actions~
but some of us were taken back a little when we saw some uniform people ( i thought they were police at 1st, it turn out that they are just the town municipal checking for license)

well, party ends about 2.30 am~......and every1 went back safe and sound~

Now before I continue my rant, burn the above phrase into your head.

Let see now, Perak is falling. Najib got one over Anwar. And Mahathir even joined in the fray. What jolly good joy. Mahathir of all people, keep on barking in his blog, and have his quotes up in the nespapers, that "if people are against those who jumped, then don't vote for them in the election - The Star". Well, I must say that the self-decided-not-senile-and-then-went-on-court-proclaiming-that-he-remembers-nothing-of-that-infammous-Lingam-tape-incident is actually true on this one. Why vote for people you can't trust? Essentially true, yet reeks of hypocrisy.

Need I not remind you that Malaysia is different from other countries? True, corruption is undeniable in some parts of the world, but here is Malaysia, UMNO/BN regime perfected this art. And so did they of the art of hypocrisy, under-the-table deals and all things not to do to run a good government. Half a century ago, UMNO, MCA, MIC might have been a good party, bringing justice and independence to Malaysia, but fast-forward to Mahathir years, it had already started to rotten. And Mahathir stripped a rocket-booster to the corruption, and allowed it to skyrocket. Mahathir might have done some good deeds to this country of mine, yet his terrible ordeals far outnumber his goods. Thus the reason I hate him. Respect a little, and hate alot. And let us not forget about the money he stole from the people, and the money he helped stole from the people.

He's old now, and old people should just be resting instead of shooting his opinions every half a minute. But he's got a huge following. I suspect a third of his followers are there listening to his every self-conceited opinions, another third there just to whack their opinions of Mahathir because he's not a frigging PM no effing more, and the remaining are paid to go there as paid supporters. But then again, fuck him. fuck Mahathir.

Najib is another guy I hate. And I think thousands, maybe millions agree with me. And only in Malaysia can we have a fucking bastard who is linked to a murder and married to a fucking fat wife as the incoming Prime Minister. Makes the role of Prime Minister ever so disgraceful. And most people wanted Badawi to stay on as PM, rather than having a bastard whose hand (or was it his wife's hand) reeks from the blood of a Mongolian.

A few days ago, before the Perak crisis, we have bitches(bitch=female dog in most dictionary, plus a bastard who just wags his tail at his superior,drooling at the reward, and most likely incastrated by their superior to instill loyalty in my dictionary) screaming at the prospect of UMNO/BN MPs or ADUNs jumping ships to join Pakatan. There were columns everywhere talking up about laws against anti-hopping when the Bota-guy jumped over to Pakatan. And then what's this? Total silence when the same Bota-guy jumped back to BN. IN THE MERE SPACE OF TWO,THREE DAYS? WHAT THE HELL? AND NO EFFING BN GUY CAME OUT AND SAID THIS IS EVER SO EFFING WRONG? Well, shame on Pakatan guys too, noone said anything when the Bota-guy jumped over to them. But then again, I'd rather support Pakatan people than Barisan Najis. Oh, by the way, try google image search for najis, you'll be surprised to find Najib there. Just a food for thought.

It is said that BN paid the infamous Jelapang prostitute RM15m for her...service and loyalty. That's 15, with 6 zeros behind them. Lots of money, that. And BN paid a total of RM50m for the loyalty of the 4 ADUNs in Perak. Geez Louise, if this is true, then I change my ambition. No more do I want to be a mangaka, but I wish to be a MP,or an ADUN, or whatever that can make Najis...I mean Najib...to pay me a few million in exchange for my "Yes".

Whatever, tomorrow might be a better day....Actually, tomorrow might even be worse. What with all the economy stimulus for our good nation is actually an underhanded tactic by effing Najis to strengthen the finance of BN-supporting states. Is this the way a government should act? At least my flu should have receded by tomorrow.

sorry for not posting recently~
basically, there's nothing interesting that happen lately. Life is routine-ish like now . Even going to school seems more fun. At least there's a bit of excitement when playing truancy . Now, im like an aimless human doing things i do not feel meaningful. Many people had warn me bout this post-stpm blues before, but sigh, now being the one experiencing it doesn't seems so funny anymore~ :(

let's put aside that sad story, and get to the main topic now.
hurm~..remember our beloved irresistible-during-hot-day abc/cendol stall opposite sabs ?
It wasn't even a stall when it first started selling those mouth watering ais kacang.
They started with a small motorbike at the roadside~shaving their ice block manually to satisfy their customer thirst under the hot blazing sun~
....then they expend their business n build a small stall at the corner.... customers CAN sit on the wooden chair outside, 'enjoy' watching motorist( vice-verse) while waiting for their delicacy ~ at least they had upgraded their ice shaving machine to a electronic one!!

from the small corner, they decided to take their business another step further~

~ seems pretty normal from here huh~

~this is the 'front ' ~ can see how big it is compared to last time?~

~well, its not UPER big , but well, how can u expect a abc stall to be as big as 'kamunlau or lai yuan restoran'? ~
hahahha..now, we can enjoy their specialty without being stared by the passer-by~

Comic Fiesta 08' post, late by a month or so

Close friends of mine can easily tell you how crazed am I about Anime and Manga. Even my parents can attest to that. And ever since I grazed(graze points ftw yey random inhouse joke gg -_-) the SPM examinations, I been wanting to go to the numerous anime convention organized. However, as luck has it, I was not able to attend last year's MMU's GACC. And then there was another anime/manga convention I missed because TARC hates me. However, when Comic Fiesta '08 was in town, and with everything going smoothly at that time, nothing seems to be able to stop me from experiencing my first convention experience.

There isn't much to say about comic fiesta. It's what I expected to be - doujins' , cosplayers' , games' , loads of fun . Beforehand, I thought that I would be see tons of Naruto cosplayers at the scene, but to my (delightful) surprise, cosplay in Malaysia has taken another step forward. You can even count the numbers of Naruto cosplayer with one hand. Malaysian cosplayers seems to have became more "mainstream" lately. There were some Macross, Gintama, Katekyou Hitman Reborn, one damn cute Kyon from Bleach, one Dr.Octopus, Nemesis from Resident Evil, FF characters and TOUHOU.

YES THERE WAS A FEW TOUHOU COSPLAYERS AROUND!!!And just when I thought that I will never get to see a Touhou cosplayer in 2008. They were manning their doujin stores when I saw them. Liyuen wasn't there at the moment so I couldn't take any pictures. And when I saw them again with Liyuen, gg-ness ensured?

And then there was the figurine section. There was hundreds of figurine on display on CF'08. Let's just make an assumption that each figurine costs a hundred bucks. And there was around 100 of them? 100 x 100 = RM 10 000. By the way, RM 100 is grotesquely underpriced for a figurine of that quality. Heck, there was even some limited editon figurines there that I may never get my hands on in my lifetime.

Anyhow, I didn't watch the emcee duo cracking their sick evil jokes on the first day, but I watched the 2nd day, and boy was they wicked. Wickedly Humorous! Their jokes were funny imho, and the games they make people play was.....there's no word to describe it. And one of the emcee ( Alfred if im not mistaken) wore a skirt! Gosh, either you love them, or hate them, and I'm definitely one of the former. What anime/manga conv would be complete without cosplay tournament, but my memory of the cosplay tournament from that fateful day has gone blurry at best. Day 3 of my Exam

With a blink of an eye, it's already my third day of examination. However, the 1st part of my exam can be duly stated as a downhill run, complete with a bicycle and a parachute in case of emergency. A little bit outta topic, but what I'm trying to imply here is that the 1st part of my exam (3 days out of 6) is actually an "easy" battle, easy in the sense that the really, tough part is yet to come.

Digimon..Evolve!!!

Fervent readers of this blog, and fans of Wai Hong(numbering from zero to...zero) might have read his nostalgic post. Power Rangers might be nice and all, but I seem to have lost most of my memories watching Power Rangers and/or Ultraman. I dunnoe, maybe it just shows that Wai Hong has a mighty powerful brain to be able to remembers the shows he watch when we're just a kid. I shall admit, I remember Power Ranger and Ultraman, and Kamen Riders for all who might care, but herein lies the difference between me and Wai Hong. He remembers every small details, while I can only remember that the hero fight,struggle, and finally defeats the enemy, and repeat the formula for every episode.

Maybe I was still young at that time. But I don't think that's the main reason. I daresay that its because of games. Remember Digimon? or Pokemon? That's what I'm talking about. But today, I shall talk about Digimon. I remember going to Sean's place to play the Digimon game with Cm, Sw, Daniel, and one guy named Ivan if I'm not mistaken. And then there's Quek and Hor. But enough about old memories, the spotlight's on Digimon.

Digimon, I've never played DW1, but for me, Digimon World 2(DW2) kicks ass. It is certainly one of the best game ever to have come out on the PSX. The sheer complexity in the digivolution was overwhelming, and captivating. You can DNAdigivolve left and right, and obtain different Digimons. And the leveling systems means that you MUST DNA digivolve to be able to level up further.

Let's talk a little bit about history shall we. According to the ever trustworthy Google and increasingly trustworthy Wikipedia, Digimon Adventure came out on 1999. Yup, that one with TaiChi(Tai in the NTV7 version) and Yamato(Matt in NTV7). But NTV7 only showcast Digimon during my late primary years, early secondary years. While I played Digimon around Standard 3 or 4 of my primary school. Confusing, innit? Well, to sum it all up, I played Digimon World 2 before Digimon Adventure ever graced my eyes.

Ah goddam, it's been a while since I spelled mosquitoes, so I wonder if I nailed the spellings down correctly. But in any case, just wanted to tell all of you that, mosquitoes are bad. The blood-sucking, diseases-carrying, annoying buzzing sound producing insect literally sucks to the core.

That's why, we must take care of the environment. Clean you room frequently (HEARD THAT MY EVER SO HYGIENIC ROOMATE?), throw away your rubbish as SOON as they become obsolete, leaving nil spaces for these insects to reproduce.

Finally back from kl~~
1 week trip is really tiring, but nevertheless it is fun ^^

this club legal age is 21, but i don't know how, shengwei n hooi talked to the lady that is selling the liquor and somehow get 9 of us in by just buying 2 bottle of liquor.....
so , this will be one of the most memorable countdown ever?

Now, close friends and roommates of mine should have realize that I developed an unique, albeit a little bit unhealthy addiction towards Touhou. Before I continue, most of you might wonder what the heck is Touhou, am I right? Well, Touhou is a game, but unlike games that most of you are playing now - Dota comes in mind.

Officially, Touhou games are mostly categorized under curtain-fire shooting game, but then again, most of you might not even understand the term. Heck, I mean, I didn't even know there was a curtain-fire shooting game, not before I played Touhou. Wiki or Google the term "Touhou" for more information. And if you still hunger for more, maybe you could ask me for the games, I'd most likely tell you where to download...I mean buy them.

But I was addicted to Touhou around a month ago, no thanks to Sandi and the MMU-ers. And the rest was, as I would like say, history.

Luck has it that I would perchance on these two videos on Youtube, which not only brings back the nostalgia of around a decade ago, when I would sit in front of the old computer my father bought at that time, opened a software called emulator, and started playing games like FF3, FF4, just to name afew. Ah~the memories. The stories. The nostalgia. The games. The sprites.

Guess Boon's really gonna pwn me if I don't start blogging something soon =D Ah well..it has been another usual day, going through the planning-to-look-for-jobs-ended-up-walking-around-for-fun morning, dota in the afternoon, and finally..youtubing and wiki-ing at night, resulting in the following contents. =) Well at least now I have something to blog about. =/ Let's get to the main point of this whole thing? How many years it has been since the last time you watch your superheroes in action..? Ah well. Looking back..I'm really glad that I'm growing up in the 90s'..well at least I had all these super cool dudes to accompany my growth =/ And so..hereby I present..the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!

Created by Saban, the first series ran from 1993 to 1995, until the rangers are changed for 12398012309182401823 versions, which sucks totally. In every 30 minutes episode a new creature will spawn, own the citizens for awhile, until the rangers are called, and so the fight begins, and the rangers are badly injured, and so they combine their weapons for OMFGWTFBBQIMBA combo, and the wounded idiotic-looking monster shall enlarge, and the zords will be summoned, the monster dying in 3 hits and exploding, which doesn't hurt the citizens a single bit. Still it's fun to watch =D I still remember the days when I was sitting infront of the tv along with my imaginary friends, and my rangers collection lol.

The original six, and the best six, IMO. They're just irreplacebleeeeeeeeeee

This blog, as I've mentioned right at the beginning, is not really a "MY" blog, but more towards a "Free-For-All-Join-If-You-Want" type of blog. On the list of contributors are myself, the "main" blogger, Li Yuen, occasional "blogger" and the artistic mind I turn to around here, and Wai Hong, the non-existant guy.

Well, I have a tendency to blog more about yours truly emo life, anime and manga, and politics. Li Yuen's with her general life. Wai Hong - none so far.

But what about cosplay? And a different point of view, in regards to anime and manga especially? I mean, I would love a certain manga, and praise it till it can fly, but it just might be that I'm biased towards the anime.

So, there is a need for another anime addict to join the pantheon of writers here, in this blog. And without further ado, I welcome, Weez!~

EMO Day

Today was a busy day. No wait, scrap that. Busy would be an understatement of what happened to me today. Today was actually "a hectic, hustle and bustle plus brimming with activity" type of day.

In any case, if you haven't read my interview on Low Vincent, the lucky Garena winner, please do so by scrolling to the article below this. I apologize for the unsystematic way of article posting. To readers, it is mostly inconvenient to read something that happened just now, and then reading something that happened earlier today. I, too, would be confused. Chronological posting of articles, by right, should be the priority. Yet, the human mind does not work that way. We remember to do things that we just thought up, instead of doing things in the back of our to-do-list. That's the reason for me posting Low's article first, before posting this one. My bad.

Anyway, I digress. Allow me to get back to the reason I posted this. Today, I had to wake up early in the morning, because my English teacher would like me to help her take a laptop and projector from the EMSD office, as today is my group's English presentation day. 6 out of our 9 groups will be presenting today. Anyhow, I woke up at 7.00 in the morning, crawled on my bed till 7.30, and began preparing for the day until around 7.50 a.m. I reached school around 7.55,saw Zhen Hao's bright face and rushed to the EMSD office, thinking I might be late.

Upon arriving, I saw Jamie there, in a beautiful dress, as captivating as she is, waiting for our lecturer's appearance tentatively. Well, guess I'm not the only one late. So we waited for her, and while waiting, I saw a lecturer gazing at us and smiled. I replied his gesture, but in my mind, I wondered to myself, do I look that weird today? Our lecturer arrived in due time, but not without her laments that she shouldn't have went to PJ, and some other stuff that I couldn't remember.

We went up to the lab, and I have to help her carry a projector (or was it a laptop?) all the way from Q block to the K block. Jamie took the other component. If you think that was tough, read on.

So, 3 groups presented in the morning session, which was the Mango-Mika pair, Alice-Penguin pair, and Jamie-Mei Yan pair. I shall not dwell further on their presentation, as it is unethical to simply write about something without the party's consent, no matter how truthful my article was. My dear Home Minister taught me that valuable lesson. But the very least I could tell you is that M-M pair presented about plastic surgery, A-P pair on Biometric devices, and J-M about music. For the morning session, my lecturer's comment mirrored my thoughts. But allow me to allucidate, I thought the first group done quite well, considering they were the first pair, the second group presented a quite interesting topic, while the third was, if I may, like music to my ears.

After that class, we had a four hour break, in which quite a few number of us went back home to change, and the rest of us had our lunch at Canteen 1. I shant talk about the food there for today, it is a story for another time. After our lunch, we went our separate ways - some of us to Jusco, several of us went to the discussion room, and I headed to the library. Upon arriving, I read a bit on my presentation notes, before making my way to the "Literature" floor in the library to get my hands on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "A Study in Scarlet", in which the famous detective Sherlock Holmes first appeared. Suffice to say, Sherlock was clearly a great mind. Yes, I know he is but a fictional character in a novel, but tell that to the throngs of Sherlockians worldwide!

Around 12.30, I met Zhen Hao and Keng Lung at the library, and we proceeded to the "Bio Chem" floor, they reading and scanning the available Biology books, studying and preparing for tomorrow's test, while I re-wrote all my presentation notes on smaller pieces of paper. Then, around 1.45p.m, we packed up our things, and left the library for Q block, where once again, me and Jamie, plus Zhen Hao and Keng Lung waited for the projector and laptop.

Here's the fun part. When we obtained the projector and laptop, we leisurely made our way to the classroom, at H212. However, at the classroom, something was amiss. The projector's acting up. It won't display anything! Input - nothing. None, nah, without a thing! I tried playing around the projector amidst the dropping rain, so does other people, but nothing works. I was then commanded to follow the lecturer to bring the projector to the Q block to be changed. And after the projector was changed, I had to run, yes RUN all the way from Q block back to the H block, AGAIN. And this is not a challenge to me, unless I injured my back which at one point in my life made me extremely emo, and even thought of life as a paralyzed,good-for-nothing "vegetable."

Anyhow, I was better nowadays, though not as good as I used to be. So there was no imminent danger in me running a distance to the H block. As usual, we played around with the projector, and this time, it worked! So without wasting time, Kang Ning-Mei Fang presented their "artificial organs" presentation, which was quite informative. Next, Chun Kiat-Chen Lam did their "First Aid Unit" topic, which was quite fun, because they actually showed us first-hand the various First Aid techniques.

Then, as I feared, the lecturer told us there was no time, and that we, and by we I meant Wan Ting and me, could present on the following week, instead of today. I felt one of my reasoning thread snapped, but luckily, there was scores of other reasoning threads which controlled my emotions. I mean, what is the use of me wearing the formal attire the whole day, if I'm not going to use it? I pleaded to the lecturer to let us present today, and thankfully, she duly obliged.

But, we had to present in front of K2 + K5. about 40+ people was staring at me the whole presentation. But hey, 40+ is nothing compared to being called up to stage to think of 5 reasons I like Mahathir, ON THE SPOT, WHEN I WAS BARELY NINE. However, I did feel that I didn't presented quite as well as I wanted to, and that I talked quite fast during my presentation. Finishing up my presentation, with Pei Qin and Zhen Hao being my casualties, it was Wan Ting's moment to shine. She talked quite crisp and fluent. Before long, she concluded our presentation, and I was on my way home - taxi with Mei Yan and 2 other unknown.

STPMers and SPMers(i think) are enjoying themselves this weekend. It's normal. Come'on, they just pass one of life's hurdle, and they have every right in the world to let their hair down, and go out somewhere where they can have fun. Meanwhile, I don't know about some of you, but college students should be studying right now, as it is nearing the mid-terms. Now, note that I said should, because we all know how life is unfair and some people would be dota'ing day and night, having naught a care in this world.

Anyway, let me relate to all you readers what happened over the weekend (and a few flashback of some instances which happened over the weekdays). So, as usually, I was having "fun" at college, when Sheng Wei called me. What surprised me more is that he told me that Kar Seng had apparently organized a eating trip to Restoran Talipon, where I had an utmost unfortunate incident, in which I would like to forget.

Anyways, things happened, a few conversation were made between me, Chuan Meng, Sheng Wei, Kar Seng, Sandi, Chung, Hooi, and Jin Han. Yup, all 8 of us were the diners at Restoran Talipon yesterday, Friday.

Anyway, let me give you readers a retelling of yesterday's even as accurate my brain can tell(which is not as accurate as some of you might think, but more accurate than some of you might know). Craps aside, me, Jin Han and Chuen Meng arrived at the agreed destination at 8p.m, when the agreed time was around 7.00 p.m. Needless to say, all of us though we were late, and upon arriving, none of the faces there were familiar. Not even a hint of Sheng Wei nor Kar Seng, not to mention Hooi,Chung, and Sandi were there.

So anyways, we ate quite a lot that day. Obviously, I didn't eat as much as I did the last time I was there. But suffice to say, the buffet was quite good. "Seafood galore" could be enough to describe what I felt that day. There were "lala"s and "siham"s in the pot every few minutes. Ka Heng would be so proud if he saw this. =x Then Jin Han took some crab sticks, crab cakes, and the"fu chuk"s, which was top class(for me at least).

Needless to say, we had tons of fun that day.

University College Act

Anyone has any idea what is the aforementioned act all about? Yup, its an Act or Akta in Malay, whichever you prefers, that ensures and enforces that all and any college students/varsities are not to be touching, speaking, voicing out, debating, discussing, writing, video making, broadcasting, cognizance any, I repeat, ANY political news, information, notification, propaganda and the likes. Even today, my ever-so-kind Chemical lecturer for two semesters, Mr. Ng, advises us not to be involved in any political shenanigans whatsoever, because we as a student are not suppose to partake in anything of the likes.

I suppose its true, and thanks for the advice. Yup, I agree, wholeheartedly, that student per se should not be involved in politics. Heck, I'll advise any clear-minded students to stay at least a few miles away from political involvement. Or, to quote -if I'm not mistaken- Eric Cartmen from South Park, "won't touch that with a 50-foot pole". Stay clear.

However, do not get me wrong. I will still be actively following Malaysia's political scenes, and expect more articles of this sort to continue in the near future. But student should stay clear. Contradicting myself, eh? Not really. In my dictionary. students are those who studies in the primary and secondary tier of education. Third tier and higher are regarded ass scholars, if I may. This is because scholars have already passed their tweens, and their teens years, entering adulthood. Long-winded, I know I am. Right, here's the gist then. Those above the age of 18, in my opinion, are able to take care of themselves, and should be exposed more to the adult world, and not to be sheltered and cocooned(or in the political scene, lied to by UMNO).

We are already reaching adulthood. And barring accidents or incidents, we will be voting in the near future, and by near, I meant a few years. Not dozen, not several, but only in a few years. So, shouldn't we be more conscious of the party we're going to vote in the future? Case in point, when I was small, I thought BN was the champion for justice(I seldom watch Power Rangers, you see). BN will fight for our cause. How idiotic I felt I was back then. But who am I to blame, there are no souce of information telling me about BN's worthlessness and their corrupt nature. I grew up believing PAS was evil, DAP was evil. And BN's propaganda and brainwashing might have succeeded was it not for Raja Petra, affectionately known as Pete or RPK.

And I could go on and on about BN's "deeds" which I have learned from the alternative media but more-important-and-trustworthy-than-mainstream-media, the almighty Internet. And before I started to ramble about Mahathir and his goons, and Mahathir alone might warrant a long report from me, I better close off now, and enjoy my sleep while I can.

First up, the yoga exercises which was meant to Improve our health!!!!

I already knew there was an uproar recently regarding practising yoga yah dah yah dah yah dah harm your Islamic spirituality. I must admit, the moment I heard that news - around two weeks ago - I frowned. How could any idiot say that yoga's harming your friggin' mind?

Then the big bang. Today, I picked up the newspaper at "Seven Star Restaurant", and there it was. Front page and all. "Fatwa banned Yoga" or something along that line. Who in heaven ever thought that yoga harms your mind.

Heck, I know throngs of people that does yoga everyday, and does that make them more "Hindu"? or does practising tai chi makes you more "Chinese"? or maybe karate and "Japan"? So, does that means I violated my nationality by not practising some Malaysia martial arts, but opted for Karate-do during my secondary school?

Lately, I've been cramming Tamadun Islam notes into my brain for the test. Anyway, heres among the "5 sifats", which states that Islam do not rid of old values, just old values that are not good. So, yoga ===> health. Is that bad? Then, there's the "9 agen" of Islam, among which states that the "Kebijaksanaan or Ijtihad" where the ulamas' are the ones that are tasked with incorparating Islam with the modern world. That is, they are responsible to ensure the "halal-ness" of new things.

Sure doesn't make Islam look appealing with the latest fatwa, innit?

Once again,its the manga spotlight! he manga spotlight will shine upon "Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge" or "ネガティブ・ハッピー・チェーンソーエッヂ". Now, the following introduction is taken from manga-updates, who takes from SCX-scans.

Eri Yukizaki is a girl who fights. She is a "pretty soldier." Her foe is the evil Chainsaw-man, who doesn't die even after being slashed. If he isn't defeated, the world will have no future. "I was wrapped into this battle, and my life has changed completely..." A "non-stop" negative youth story! ===========================================

Now, if there is one word to describe this manga, it would be unique. Really, really unique. Even the drawing style is unique. And the plot is just above unique.

Basically, this manga is only made up of...around 5 "main" characters. First up, of course, is the main "hero" of this manga. The reason he's written in quotation marks is because, well , I don't even know if he's the main hero. He's weak, insecure and else. But, I admit, he does appear to be quite heroic towards the end of the manga. Plus, the manga's told in his perspective, so I think he's the main protagonist. =)

Looks real nice and sombre here, doesn't he. Yamamoto's the name. Tell the truth, I quite like the mangaka artwork. Really nice and smooth. The drawings are clean. A huge, and I mean HUGE difference from mine. But I prefer Mayumi Azuma-sensei's style of drawing. Back to the point, insecurity is him. Quite pessimistic, and looks at this world with no hope, plus insecurity is a recipe for being RAWR~

Cute and strong. She's the sword-weilding, chainsaw man fighting, Eri! Nothing much to say about her, as I don't want to spoil anyone, but she's a real hottie(as far as manga goes, anyway). Being a tsundere just amplifies her grace. And did I mention she's cute? I mean, she cute...

The kewl, hooded chainsaw guy! Noone knows who's he, where's he from and why is he destined to fight Eri to the end, except for Eri herself.

Noto, one of Yamamoto's best buddy, who unfortunately died in an accident prior to the manga's story. However, he still leaves an impact on Yamamoto even after his death. We're not given a clear view of his handsome face for most of the manga, only during the ending did we get the change to see him.

Watanabe, the last of the trio of best buddies. An aspiring musician. The reason for his never-ending pursuit of music(writing) is reveal in the end.

That's all for the characters. There're just basically 5 characters in the manga. The same number of characters in that awfully stupid movie, Dark Water, but the similarity ends there. While Dark Water plainly sucks arse, Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge is entertaining, and intriguing.

There 2 subplots in this manga - one between the chainsaw man and Eri, and the other between the 3 good friends, and these 2 subplots are linked by the relationship between Eri and Yamamoto. There's a fair share of action, comedy and ecchi in this manga. And the manga dwells quite on the negative aspect of life, but ends the happily-ever-after way. But alas, all good thing must end sooner or later (eg- Naruto went past its due date =x). To me, the ending was perfect. It could be longer, but 8 chapters was suitable as well. It wraps up everything nicely, and kept me captivated until the end of the journey. All in all, an enjoyable read.

Special thanks to the [SCX-scans] group that worked on this manga, delivering it to Japanese illiterate like myself. Great job guys! But, be sure to buy the manga once it's out in your respective area, which is NEVER in my case.

Through the law of karma, the effects of all deeds actively create past, present, and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to him/her and others. The results or 'fruits' of actions are called karma-phala. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well.

But that's just religion. To me, karma is the returns, the accrual of all the actions you did in this world, be it bad or good. And then, something happens in tune to the nature of those deeds. In short, it deals with deeds. (for everything else there's Mastercard?)

So, be afraid...be very, very afraid. What you did now, you will have to suffer(or enjoy) in your later years. For example, you might call people banana for one sem, then you hurt you leg. Being pessimistic and arrogant breaks your bone. C4-ing someone...well, for that, we'll have to see.

Recently, I was asked to write an english article for my college faculty's something something- lah. So, being a kind Tarcian, I accepted the offer. And then promptly forgot about it, before the last two days before I have to pass up the article. So, what do you do at a time like this? Why, whip out your headset and listen to songs, of course. And before I knew it, the song I was listening to gave me the inspiration to write a story.

If…If only things were different. If only, I was able to predict the future then, if I knew this route was to take place. If only I knew that she will be further out of my reach now than ever before, which I will only be able to communicate with her as a friend. I sighed as the deep emotions were heaped onto me. We’re just bare past our twenties, and she’s already engaged and was bound to marry now. Right in front of my eyes, it is happening, and with me as the best man.

The fact that she is someone I knew in my school days makes me happy, glad, that someone like me is able to meet someone like her. I, too, like the dozens here, wished her the best in her marriage, yet my heart, twitches every single time she holds his hand, and hurt every second she is with him. Being the best man for this marriage can’t destroy my rationale more than anything else in this world.

“Hey Seline, I’ll go out for a smoke,”

“Yea, sure. But thanks for everything today. You know, I honestly can’t think of anyone as my best man other than you.” She said, with that enchanting smile of hers.

The best I can do is utter a quaint reply, looking away from her of course. The more I am to gaze at her, the more I feel that tears will fall from my eyes, but I strongly kept hold of my emotions as I walk towards the exterior of the church, looking for a tranquil place to calm down. And upon reaching, I realized how calming the sanctuary is. Peaceful, calming, and ever so understanding. It is as though it accepts my presence, and my agitation of not being able to be true to the love of my life. I sat there in the middle of the garden, reminiscing about the days from when I met her, till today.

“Hmm…Mmm…I see…You really loved her, didn’t you? But alas, the inferiority of yourself kept her away from you, and now she’s so far away from you, that no matter how much you struggle, you will still be unable to reach her. Quite a predicament, huh?”

I turned around immediately, trying to look for the source of the angelic voice. And to my surprise, I found a young girl, presumably in her tweens, in a cosplay of an angel. Wings, white clothes and everything.

“Huh? Who’re you?”

“Ah, me? I’m an angel sent from the Big Man upstairs. You see, He’s into love stories. And He just can’t help but notice the moody you here, sulking because the love of your life is with another man, just because you can’t buckle up, swallow your pride and ask her out during your prom. And now, she’s with another bloke who fulfills her every need, just because you’re too spineless to act. Get it?”

“Erm, wait. Allow me a few seconds to reorganize my feelings. You’re an angel here to…?”

“Well, to help you of course”

“Okayy…Give me a couple of minutes please. I need to calm down. The girl I had a crush on for these past 5 years are going to get married in a few hours, and I’m here talking to an angel. Huh, I guess I’ve finally snapped. Ha, that must be it”

SMACK! She slapped me in the face.

“Get over it, Tugg! Believe it or not, I’m here to help you, whether you want it or not. I might not look like it, but I’m a busy angel. There’s 5 couples I have to bless in the evenings, a person I have to protect as a guardian angel to, and finally the “happy hour” with my colleagues once the day is over. So, can’t you just…what’re you doin??”

The angel grabbed the photo of Seline I kept in my wallet, forcefully I might add.

“Cute girl, but way out of your league. Well, I finally understand the basis of your inferiority complex. No matter. Just go back to the prom night and rectify your error, will you? Safe journey”

WHISH, BHAM, BANG!

There were weird noises being made, and a flash of light which blinded my sight. Before I realized it, I was already at my old high school,evening.

“Wha, where am I?”

Tap tap

“Whoa!”

“Kyah!...Um, I’m sorry I startled you, I didn’t intend to.”

And there she was, all dolled up, but definitely not in her bridal dress.

“Hey, what’re you doing here? Shouldn’t you be with the groom right now?”

“And who might my groom be? You?” She looked at me with the twinkle in her eyes that will definitely melt anyone’s heart….Wait, isn’t this her dress for the prom night?

“Erm, Seline, where are we now? What time is it?”

She looked at me with her eyebrows raised, and she told me “Knocked your head or something? We’re at school, obviously. And I don’t have any watch with me right now, but I know we’ll be late if you stand here like a gargoyle.”

“Late? For what?”

She closed her eyes, sighed, and with her gentle hands, got a good hold of my head, closed the distance between her forehead and mine, and muttered so softly that I could barely hear her, “Doesn’t look like a fever. Don’t tell me you’re feeling nervous for the prom night, do you?” She let go of her hands, and whisper to my ears – I could felt her breath touching my ears – “ Don’t worry, if no one was to be your partner for today, you’ll just have to be mine for tonight.” And she turned her back on me right after she said that, ran to the entrance to our school, turned back to face me and bellowed to me “Come on, we’ll really be late for the dance at this rate!”

That was when memory hit me hard in my head. “Am I…No, I am at the prom night 5 years ago, the day when we partied and celebrated our graduation from high school. I’m sure of it!” And if memory serves me right, as I was hesitating on asking for her hand to the dance of the night, she was snatched from under my nose by another guy, who would be her fiancée and her husband.

“Wait up,” I bellowed to her. And she stood there, smiling, waiting for me.

I have decided, if this was a second chance bestowed to me by God, I might as well muster all my courage, and do the things which I was unable to do, which binds me to the sufferings of regret in the future, and asked her to be my partner for today.

I walked up to her – she was still waiting for me – and opened my mouth, but words just won’t come out. Instead, my mind was pondering upon other stuffs. Do I look ridiculous? Is my clothes crumpled? Does my breath smell? Am I blushing? And many more. Just then, my conscience gives me a big hard slap, and snapped out of my trance. Words can finally come out.

“Seline, um…do you, like, have any partner for the dance today? If you don’t mind, may I?” I offered her my hand, my heart racing as fast as a Thompson fired without stopping. My mind wanders again. Will she accept me? Won’t she accept me? Will she accept me? Won’t she accept me? I wonder how many times I asked myself those questions in the couple of milliseconds whilst I was waiting her reply. I could barely look and think straight. All I wanted to do was close my eyes, and wished I was invisible. And close my eyes I did.

It was then that I felt a certain warmth curling the hand I offered out. Slowly, I opened my eyes. A tiny opening in my left as I peeked at the source of the warmth, and both to see where it connects to. Seline, was holding my hand.

“Yup, let’s have a blast tonight, Tugg!” she said, beaming with delight, and her face was a little red as well. Is she blushing?

Yet, I was so flustered and edged that I hardly remembered anything after. I scarcely remembered dancing with her – did I embarrassed her with my two left feet? – and the rest of the prom. However, I do remember the highlight of the prom, the kiss under the blooming moon, as though heaven and earth is blessing us.

And then everything was blank. As I opened my eyes, I realized I was back at the church. The priest just gave Seline and her fiancée-turned-husband his blessing. Cheers were heard. Clapping was everywhere. Tears were flowing, tears of joy. But my heart was breaking. What just happened?

As though a respond to my question, time stopped itself. And the angel appeared before me.

“How was it? The dream. Fulfilled your wish didn’t it? No more regret?”

Tears rolled down my cheek, but I could neither speak nor utter a single word.

“Relax, boy. T’was all just an illusion. God took pity on you, as you will only break yourself if you allow those regrets well up in you. Your bitterness of 5 years will eventually wear you down, it is a good thing to discharge all those negative feeling. Don’t worry, you’re kind and strong. You’ll be able to accept the reality. Take care and goodbye”

“Why?”

“Excuse me?”

“Why. Why am I to suffer this terrible prank?”

The angel sighed. “This is not a prank, nothing malicious.”

“Then why?” I asked, raising my temper.

“Well, I’m quite glad you’re more in tune with your emotions now. But too much freedom is not a good thing too. Neutrality is the best. Remember that, boy. Now listen here. The anguish from the prom night 5 years ago, actually made you closed your heart to yourself. Remember how you actually thought of suicide when you saw Seline with current husband, and how you actually though of homicide at the church? Shame on you! But alas, the God is Almighty, as well as forgiving.

You blamed yourself for hesitating. And at this rate, you won’t take a step into the future. You will continue to be bounded by regret, and nothing good comes out of it. Don’t look at the past, but the future. The past will always remain, whether you like it or not. But it should never be something that puts you in a predicament. It should be a reference for the future. Never forget the past, yet don’t be caught up in them.

What has happened has happened. No amount of power can change that. Cry and wail as much as you like, because that it is normal. In fact, it means that you are still someone with an emotion, not a living zombie, with neither emotion nor reasoning. Be hurt, and feel it, for it proves that you are a human capable of love. For that is what love is – bittersweet.”

Besides, even if I have the power to place you in the past, you think you’ll be able to change this reality – she marrying another guy – just by being able to dance with her, eat with her, and kiss her? All in one night? NO! Marriages aren’t so simple. Each couple endures through a few challenges before they get married. And this couple is one blessed by the heavens itself. Well, the same might not apply to celebrity marriages, but that’s not the point here. What I’m trying to say is that, you won’t be able to alter the course of history in just one night.”

After listening to that entire lecture, I’ve finally understood. The world is shaped by each of us, by each of our action, our vivacity, our life. Be true to ourselves. Grasp the moment, when it is available to us, and not allow our hesitance to let it slip away from us. Be strong, be willful, and unrelenting. Because that, my dear friends, is life. Happiness will not appear just before you, and stay with you forever. It has to be searched for, fought for, and kept close to you.

TM Sucks

At cc again. It's as if going to CC on wednesday has beome a norm in my life for the past 2 weeks. Maybe the shock of losing my handphone, or maybe it is the ever-so-at-producing-blatant-lies-to-trick-your-customers TmNet. Or maybe I just can't finish my report without the internet. Or, maybe, just maybe, I'm here to download the weekly animes/mangas that I follow-Ah, I mean, I used to follow, in past tense, and while I'm at it, lets bold and underline the word followed.

Why the past tense? Why the bold? and why must TmNet hates us Malaysians so much? Questions...questions...questions. Rhetorical questions I must add. But we all know it, TmNet doesn't hate us, they are incapable of doing so. Right, the word of note here is incapable. In-ca-pa-ble. TmNet is incapable. Maybe it's the arrogance. Or the lack of will to upgrade their service. But me thinks it is their "ability" to be backed by the government-who gives all the tender to companies of their favour. And so, TmNet has no good competitor to give the the push, the edge, the competition, and so on.

Hence, over the years they grow(and still growing) arrogant. And why not? I mean if I'm the number one in a certain business, and the 2nd best is a million lightyears away from my technology, do you think I would bother to even increase/upgrade my company's technologies and utilities? Heck, my company's motto might even change from "Customer is always right" to "Take it of leave it".

Though, I do compliment the TmNet's Customer Service. Put yourselves in their shoes for once. Having to sit in front a desk, looking at a computer all day (wait, isn't that what everyone is doing nowadays?....well, let's not bother with these "small" facts), receiving calls from total strangers and have to endure grilling, lambasting, and curse words being thrown at you, all at loud volume, and they have to apologize(wait, have they ever apologize to anyone before?) for something that they did not do. What a job. I won't touch this job with a 20-metre pole.....but come to think of it, did they ever listen to our complains, or are they just pretending...............................

No matter, the point the drill into the back of your heads is Malaysia is seriously in need of someone, or something to pull TmNet down from his throne, and make them work all the way up to be the best again. For inspirations, just look across the border at the shining Singapore.

A quick search through youtube reveals the Malaysians' pain and hatred towards TmNet. And the best of them is this magnificent video. Kudos to the video makers.

Manga Spotlight: Fairy Tail

Today's manga spotlight will be on...da da da dum *drum rolls*

FAIRY TAIL~~

Yup,Fairy Tail. For those who have yet to burn the divine pages of Fairy Tail into your eyes, please visit some of those online manga reader sites.

So, what's so nice about Fairy Tail? For one, its the unique drawing style of Hiro Mashima-sensei, whose work includes the popular Groove Adventure Rave. And the genre's pretty similar to Rave too - fantasy, comedy, friendship (nakama). Heck, even some of the characters look similar and have the same name (Sieghart from Rave and Sieglert from FT). And there's one famous recurring character - Plue from Rave makes some special appearances in FT as a stellar spirit...and it's still considered as a dog. Nice innit?

Not only that, like Rave - which started out as a boy who goes adventuring to destroy some evil stones while looking for his father but ended up with one of the most entertaining and compelling stories I've ever read in recent times - FT started as a fun-going, happy, and boy-meets-gal-become-friends-travel-together. However, as of recently, there are a couple of nicely written stories to accompany the main story ( main character Natsu searching for his...um..."father" ) Plus, we're just shown a speck of the main storyline! Other than Natsu "father" went missing and knowing the identity of his father, we still don't know why he left, and what's with Zeref?

And then there's the gals. Mira-san is so dam cute/pretty, Lucy too, and there's the ever-so-cool Erza Scarlet. All hail Erza!!!!

Since I'm posting this at TARC's CITC (think of it as a computer lab) , uploading the images are a drag. I might edit this is the future when I have internet access, provided I remember to edit it.

Remember 1997? The year the economic boom hits yet again(If memory serves me well, the 1st one happened around the year 1980s')? And now the year 2008? Where experts and analysts everywhere has been forecasting the impeding crisis and has warned almost everyone to prepare for it? I mean, if the spiraling oil prices aren't any indication of something big yet to come, I don't know what is.

According to some people, this economic crisis that will soon come to your doorsteps and mine is all due to the fact that banks loans money to some people who can't afford to pay. And why do the banks do such a stupid thing? I don't know. Heck, this piece of information might even be wrong. But you don't give loans to people who can't pay you back. Its just common sense. So why did those people need loans? To buy and grab lands when you can, obviously. Prices are spiraling out of control, and the mindset out there is, "If you don't buy now, when are you gonna buy a house? When an apartment unit costs you $1 m? (prices over-exaggerated)" Because of this, the bank lacks the money, and businesses revolves around money. No money no talk. But hey, who am I to talk? I'm just a student, and a non-economy student by the way.

With the world growing darker(literally- I mean, rain rain rain, its been so long since I gazed upon a clear blue sky,not that rain-till-you-drown-or-hot-till-you-drown-in-sweat-type-of-weather ), our government is still talking to the press saying everything is fine. There is no recession, no economy crisis, no whatsoever impending doomsday. Malaysia- truly Asia is a paradise. Yup, a real paradise. There no starvation, no poverty, no nothing bad. Read the mainstream newspapers, Utusan in particular, and you'll be hit with barrage of news reporting that our dear ministers telling us that "Malaysia will not go into recession".

Nice huh? Well, at least the weather is fine today at my area.

One Life Revolution

Recently there was an event called 'One Life Revolution ' held in ECM......

Well, since it was so widely promoted, my friends and i went there to have a look what was it all about~

Though i try to be smart by going there during dinner time...hurm..but look at the queue....= =

Well , to summarize da long journey , its actually a walkthrough about 3 person's life as an HIV +ve victim. We are given an earphone each, with selective languange ( BM, BI or Chinese) . Then from there, they will tell a short story about each kid's life . We are guided to step in alternate rooms depending which kid we get . And we experience the whole walkthrough as a 1st person ( as the kid's POV) .

Each time we go , we can get 1 kid's life walkthrough. well , i got a kid frm cambodia . She somehow got cheated into prostitution ..well, there's the main 'activity' how HIV spread huh. Though its typical , i felt mine is da most fun compare to others, coz i got to go in 1 room that full with bra's n shirt..n not to mention the choking perfume smell.. they make a real situation out of it. Well, for those whole plan to go when this NGO go to KL, i recomend you to choose the cambodian kid. There's another 2 kid, 1 from malaysia( from pahang itself!!) , another 1 from india. From what my friend had explain , it's pretty ordinary where 1 have to survive on garbage , another 1 where he n his mum struggling to combat this. We are not allowed to take pics, so i take some pics from upview( some ny, coz other place all are covered up~)

this is the place where we are called upon by a nurse, then she will stamp our hand . ...i keep put my hand towards the -ve stamp pad ... but I was stamp +ve ( i was shock at 1st....i though we all should get -ve but later ny i understand that the kid frm cambodia is proven +ve in HIV)

after all those , we are leaded to wall of reflaction where photos of HIV +ve victim are hung there( sad song was played, even tissues are prepared on the chair LOL)

then...to the wall of hope( the only thing i sneak and snap inside) , where we write those encouragin words to keep on encouragin them~

Well, we did feel sorry for them , learn to appreciate our life more, but then its not as exaggerating until come out crying like they show in the tv while we are waiting in our lines..XD

Well, if there's a chance, try it . But i expect kl queue will be far worse than kuantan .....XD

I'm back in Kuantan for the weekend. There's no particular reason for me to come back, just that I wanted to see my family and to enjoy the tranquil Ktn-lifestyle. I'm currently using my aunty's comp to blog, so short and simple this will be.

By the way, did I mention to you guys and gals that I've always wanted to be a mangaka? Yup, a mangaka! No idea what it is? Simply put, a mangaka is someone who draws manga. Anyhow, I've always wanted to be a mangaka...until now that is. Now, I wanna be BOTH a mangaka and a frigging director, scriptwriter, crew casting advisor and all those lovable, affable jobs =D.

Why? There's no why. Nope. No why. And definitely no Jinhan asking us to watch "Black Water" in Midvalley. I seldom went to shopping complexes lately to enjoy myself. Everyday was tough for me. I mean, you won't feel enthusiatic about life when you know you have to wake up in the mornings to go to college. Worse still, my roomie boss is still sleeping like a log. I dread the day I shift to MU, where I most likely will be sleeping while Jinhan shouting noob while playing dota....

But back to the point. Black Water is an interesting watch. I mean, I'm normally be doing my experiments at the lab, so I don't have time...I mean, I don't have the opportunity the be looking at a real life sample of a tree. But not anymore! Not since National Geographics have I gone through an hour looking at a tree. I'm grateful, really! Not only has that masterpiece of artwork of the highest order enabled me to stare at a tree and marvel at its bark, it sparked the burning passion inside me to direct a movie. And don't even get me started on the amount of actors and actresses in that show.

And Dota has a new map. New items, new heros, new map terrain layout,several tweaked skills and new ways for me to be caught totally offguard,ganked and look at the monitor while I count down the seconds.

Also, this's the new season for anime. Several animes from the past months have ended(Code Geass,Kyouran,Wagaya just to name a few), and several more popped out. There are shows like Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka, Toradora, To aru majutsu no index, Tales of the abyss, Clannad~after story~, ef - a tale of melodies, Vampire Knight Guilty, Kuroshijitsu, Rosario Vampire CAPU2 and more.

More on those animes later, when I have some internet access. Peace out.

Right, its 5.50 am at the moment, and I'm still cramming. Unhealthy lifestyle aside, its the solat azan right now, so I bid all the umat Islam a nice day, have a nice meal now, and have a nice fasting for today, we bid farewell to the old days and welcome a new day, unfazed by the problems dogging the past. Say hello to a new Malaysia!!....no wait, I'm still blur, by a new Malaysia, I don't meant one led by Anwar (Dear PM refused to meet him, so lets wait the dorama unfolds~). Sleep deprived, I said new Malaysia in a state of confusion when I meant no more exams for now! Shame on me!

Finals is over around 5 hours after this post. I <3 being not exam-tied.

FOC

What is FOC? Nowadays, instead of Dota, people like shengwei keep on shouting "FOC!!! FOC lo!!! I create FOC join now!!! "....so what the f is FOC? For the "kataks bawah tempurung" and the unenlightened, FOC should not be mistaken for Free of Charge (F.O.C). Notice the dots, one have 'em, the other don't. So what is FOC. It is a new term/slang for Warc III maps, much like what Dota is.

FOC simply means Fight of Character. Remember the old days when Warc III just came out? Remember the Arenas maps? Remember that someone tried to create a Anime Arena? And remember how it failed then because anime is not that popular then compared to now? Okay, so there are quite a number of popular animes and mangas then, but anime then is not as popular as now, nor does anime commands as many fans then as compared to now.

Anyways................where am I now? Lem'me see. Oh yea, FOC. Fight of Character is a new map in which you choose one character from animes like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Tsukihime, Fate/Stay Night, Dragonball, Inuyasha, Yuyu Hakusho and Hellsing, and battle to your heart's content! Choose a character, farm and pump up your character and kill your foes along the way to victory.

Characters available for you to choose is :

Naruto - Orochimaru, Sandaime, Kimimaro, Rock Lee, Haku, Gaara, Itachi, Kisame.
Bleach - Ichigo, Byakuya, Renji, Ishida.
One Piece - Eneru, Zoro, Rob Lucci, Luffy, Portgas, Robin.
Tsukihime - Akiha, Shiki.
Fate - Gilgamesh.
Hellsing - Alucard.
Inuyasha - Inuyasha.
Dragonball - Goku.
Yuyu Hakusho - Yusuke.

Note that normally, Shiki, Rock Lee, Inuyasha and Zoro are banned because they are too "gay". But why Byakuya is permitted I dunno. And Ishida is not "gay" because he wears specs. Nobody respects glasses man, so Ishida is excluded from the gay list. All because he wears glasses and he's like, "look at me, I wear glasses so let's beat me up!". There's something about glasses that makes Stephen Chow wanna beat 'em up, but not all glasses are bad. Some are cool. Like Rider(Fate/Stay Night), she occasionally wears glasses, but she's cool.

No battle screenshots, but I can say that most of the characters look quite alike their anime counterparts, just overlook the fact that Ishida look like he hasn't eaten in months and that Yusuke and Haku might have stolen Ishida's portion of meat, as they respectively look un-Yusuke and un-Haku like.

Mid-autumn festival~ aka moon festival~

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a popular East Asean tradition of Chinese origin dating back over 3,000 years to moon worship in China's Shang's dynasty that spread to neighbouring cultures like Japan.It was first called Mid-Autumn festival in the Zhou dynasty.

Personally , i feel that this festival is the prettiest festival among all chinese celebration ~

This is the day where friends and family get together and celebrate it under the moonlight. Remember those days where mummy and daddy bring us to TC and built heaps of sand castle? At this age, our parents dont even want to get messy with us ><~ . Not many of us have chance to celebrate it in kuantan anymore (most of us are scattering around in all parts of the world pursuing our degree...eg miss yw is going to celebrate with ang mo in UK next year XD) . even this year, lots of friends in KL cant come back to celebrate it, next year, even worse i suppose .

Since this might be the last for me in kuantan ( the next 1 maybe 5-10 years later??), of course i've not given up the chance to burn candles in TC although having physic paper 1 tomorrow .( opps..i really should be studying after this) .

It took us a while to figure what should we do with those sands . Some suggested fish , piggies , castle , car and in the end..... we just dig a big hole . = = .... then , an inspiration struck some of our heads , so we end up creating this

It looks kinda pretty ( hurm, mayb i syok -sendiri) . But from nothing to something this bright, its really satisfying to look at it and say it was done by all of us.

How to be a liar

Just realized that my blog is too-politically themed. With an anime pic as its header, and the site's name, you just have to believe that it is a more anime-themed blog. But nooooo, there are more posts about politics than about anime. But its just a coincidence! Really! Look, i can even swear by....er....by my new slipper's quality! I'm no liar!

Oh, by the way, my old pair if slippers was stolen around a week ago, or maybe two, or was it three? Can't remember. But my old slippers, yup, the Lee slippers, was gone and MIA for quite some time. And I bought a new one for RM5 as a quick replacement. All I can say is, its a, erm, quite a good bargain. The quality for money is staggering. Again, I'm sorry for the lack of pictures. No pictures of the slippers though.(Hooi dun wanna lend me his camera and me boh lui buy camera) XD

But the pair of RM5 slippers is a story for another day, for today I shall talk about the infamous skill condemned by many, yet is invaluable in all walks of life. Yes, as you could have guessed from the title of this post, I'm talking about lying. Lying is a skill, like slipper-making. But unlike slipper-making, lying is an indispensable skill due to its importance. Why is lying so goddarn important? Because a lot of people utilises this skill to cari makan. Lying is as important to some people as Ashura Strike is important to champs in RO. Imagine a champ not upping his Ashura Strike skill! Or its like watching some Pimre Mnsiietr being consistent and not falling asleep at every turn.

Lying though, is a diverse and multiform skill. Imagine a tree branching out, and you won't be far off. There are different types of lying,a hodgepotch of 'em, and each type has its own specialty.Its like playing Pokemon,where one type of element reigns supreme over one, but loses to another in an endless cycle. Today, I shall be discussing about the varieties of Lies which I have uncovered recently. Also, this be another political post, so steer away if u dislike it and pray that I finish my exam in one piece to enable me to blog about <3

Okay, so first up, we have the typical liar. A liar says one thing and does another. And a typical liar uses more lies to cover up his first lie. I guess I can be labelled a typical liar. Everyday, I wake up and tell myself to study hard, and ended up reading manga, fast forward through some anime episodes, and read anime blogs just because I have no time to really watch animes and had to content myself with reading summaries. And I lie to myself to study tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow..... No wait, I'm just procrastinating,aren't I? (Haha, silly me) Another perfect example would be someone going on national TV and newspapers telling the world they won't increase oil price, at least not in this year, and another guy in his administration told the same newspapers that oil price would not be increased, not until September.

So who's speaking the truth? Apparently, no one as oil price increased several weeks after making their respective statement. This is the so-called typical liars. But like everything else, this type of liar have their own weakness. There is a chinese saying that goes like this "talk more, wrong more" and this is their weakness. Once you lie, you have lie more to ensure nobody discovers your first lie, and you need good management, thinking skill and strategy to continue you lie. If not, you risk exposing your very own lie yourself.

Secondly, there is the swear-by liar. This type of liars are the type that will swear by anything just to prove to others that they are innocent, whereas they are actually evil. Situation 1 : Boy says he loves Girl, and that he would do anything for her. If he lies, may god strike him with lightning. Boy gets Girl. Boy leaves Girl after Boy gg-ed Girl. A typical plot, eh? Situation 2 : A swears by whatever object he can grab that B is evil, malevolent and with malicious intent to kill everyone. All hail swearing, and let's all destroy the courtrooms in favour of swearing~

There is only one weakness you have to fear if you wanna be this type of liar. Fear smart-ass people. They can see through your lies miles away and can thwart you plans as easily as Lelouch killing everyone with his Geass.

Third in the long line of liars is the infamous alibi liars! These type of people fabricate some nicely written stories and use it to lie to everyone. They will start telling stories they pick up out of thin air, hoping everyone buys it. In chinese, there's a term to describe these people, and the term is gong gu, meaning talk nonsense. For instance, A states that B was arrested under some draconian, unfair, unjust law where she would be detained, questioned and most likely thrown behind bars to....wait for it!!.............to PROTECT her.

God, I haven't laugh more in an episode Kyouran Kazoku Nikki. In fact, it nearly gave Stephen Chow a run for his money. Sometimes I wonder why on earth are these people loitering around press conferences instead of under the bridge where they belong. To fight against these type of lie, all you have to do is to take out your thinking cap and start wearing it.

Too bad some of the liars are unlike the two brothers here. Schneizel oozes "lookie-here-im-way-too-hot!" aura whilst Lelouch is too damn smart to be caught lying. But luckily for us commoners who lack the lying skillz, we should be lucky some liars doesn't even have a tenth of the two brothers' ability, lest we be lied to till no end.

There are still many types of lies yet to be described, but I'm at my limit here. Besides, I have written too much boring crap here when I should be studying.
